Quarry Farm Riding School

Riding School

Joey is the most long standing member of the team, he has a huge following, and has taught many children the fundamentals of riding. We all love Joey.

An old time favourite, a total confidence giving schoolmaster who is kind and genuine, a total pleasure.

Fred is our newest Pony Team member, a horse Rosie sold many years ago and when she had the opportunity to purchase him back jumped at the chance. Fred is a bubbly, happy chappy who loves to jump.

Margot has bags of personality, all our beginner kids start on Margot. the perfect lead rein and unicorn pony.

Everyone's favourite girl Poppy is a total all-rounder. She is originally from Ireland (imported by Rosie) and has a huge fan club.

She is a beautiful Haflinger, who can turn her hoof to anything. Goldie loves to jump and enjoys cuddles. Goldie is a wonderful new addition to Quarry Farm

Quite possibly the cutest pony we have ever met, Mexico is an absolute delight to have around, he loves fuss and attention and is  proving so popular in the school.

Hobnob is on loan to Quarry Farm from a good friend  of Rosie's, he has taken to school life like a duck to water, he loves being fussed and groomed and can be handled by the youngest of children.

Janice is a lovely forward allrounder, she is everyones favourite ride, she always does really well in the dressage ring and loves taking part in Eriders. she also loves to jump

And lastly....

Mavros the horse simulator is going to revolutionise the way we teach all our riders alongside our actual living horses.

Mavros gives riders the opportunity to practice their walk, trot and canter. He allows the riders to practice making both upward and downward transitions of all three paces and includes the halt.

Elvis is the youngest member of the team, he is 3 years old and not yet backed. You will be able to follow Elvis's progress over on Facebook and instgram as we begin to get him used to riders,  Elvis is a pure bred clydesdale and is going to grow very large.  Elvis will join the other horses in the riding school next year.
