The bully in your brain

Most people know what bullying is, I'm sure a few have even experienced it. What you may not realise is that one of the worst bully's is yourself. That voice in your head that tells you you're not good enough, that you shouldn't be riding, and any more criticisms you may think of. This is the voice that prevents you learning and enjoying horse riding to the max! It can be very hard to stop the voice but noticing it is the first step. We have some steps to try and help anyone struggling 1. Notice that internal bully is happening 2. Stop and think about why your thinking that way 3. Reverse it, change the negative into a positive This may take a while to do consistently but in time this can improve confidence! An amazing post we reccomened reading (as well as some of the comments) is Olivia Towers dressage on facebook.
